My name is Danielle. I’m currently 40 years old and I live in Connecticut USA. I live with my wonderful partner (fiancée) Rob and we have a great life together. I’m currently looking for a new job. (I had a part-time retail job last holiday season but it was just temporary.) I have been out of work for a while now and am working with the Connecticut Rehabilitation Services to find help me find a part-time office-type job. I was taking care of a retired man (my father) but he passed away Officially on March 3, 2016. I have Multiple Sclerosis and it is managed by Yale. I’m grateful for anyone who follows or reads this. I love taking photos, knitting, crochet and generally anything to keep my hands and mind occupied. My interests include knitting and crochet, anything crafty, baseball, painting, cooking, movies, music, car racing, games and travel.
My grandmother taught me to knit and crochet before I was ten years old. She passed from Alzheimer’s so I ended up teaching my other family members how to knit and crochet. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1999 so I have some days where I cannot do the crafts that I love so much!
I have (as of 8/7/2013) inherited over three ‘older’ stashes; my Grandmother Ni, my Nana Shirley and my Aunt’s mother Helen.
I am very overwhelmed right now with the amount of acrylic yarns and 1940-1960’s issues of Good Housekeeping! I also inherited some lovely fabric, but I honestly don’t know how to organize my ‘stash mess’!
I am in LOVE with SMASH books!Pink Books. I have lost count on how many I have at this point. I have one that goes back and forth from Connecticut to Utah with my friend Sara. I have another one that goes back and forth between Connecticut and Austin, Texas with my friend Jen. I have one that is for all the ‘clippings’ of Wedding Ideas from magazines and websites! I have another one just for Crafting. And the amount of accessories that they have for these books is ridiculous (in a good way!) When I presented the book to my friend Jen, she was nearly in tears! She has it now but I can’t wait to get it back to add some pictures, etc. When my friend Sara got hers in the mail, she called me immediately because she was so excited! I honestly think that these SMASH books are the coolest, most creative craft idea that I have come across in a VERY long time!
As of December 24, 2012 I am engaged to the love of my life, Robert ♥! We have been together since 2004. We live together, with out cat Lilly, in our recently purchased house that we are trying to turn into a home. And I cannot wait to get inspired somehow to make this house into a comfortable home where we can spend our lives together!
